My Bucket List: Achievements & Goals

Back in May of 2014, I wrote a Bucket List for my life. It’s been really interesting seeing what I’ve achieved so far, and of course, what I haven’t. Whilst some things have definitely changed and now seem far away (ahem…marriage and kids), I have time to work on those aspects in the future, and my priorities aren’t what they once were. In fact, I’m actually at the point where I realise that to live my life fully, I just need to let it happen.

What Is Life Without A Purpose? What Is Purpose Without Love?

As some of you may know, I am officially single this year for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been so busy sorting out my life after a (mostly) rubbish 2015 that I hadn’t really stopped to notice the date; but now it’s looming and I can’t really avoid it. Despite being single now and having had some bad experiences, I don’t hate the notion of love at all. I’m not bitter! In fact, I embrace it, and I think that Valentine’s Day is a great time to enjoy when you have a partner.

Blogging As A Freelance Writer

When I started my blog, I was working full time in a content based role at a digital agency. I’d talked about having a blog for years – I wanted a space on the Internet that I could call my own. It was the perfect time to get one, too, because of all the expertise I now had in the area. However, I’ve just not been feeling it lately, and I think it’s got something to do with the fact that I write for a living. I’ve been fully freelance since summer 2015, and after a long week of writing, often the last thing I want to do is write any more. Blogging as a freelance writer can be tiring!

Ice Bar Rocks, London

I know, I know. This is super late. I’m mortified to find this in my drafts, unposted. My site was down for a while (boo) and I’ve also been away on my travels  (don’t worry, more to come on that front!). Anyway, I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of Ice Bar Rocks at the Ice Bar in London, and it was right up my street. Food & drink? Check. Something quirky? Check. Rock theme? Um hello, I am so sold! Continue reading

Bloggers’ Festival

Since moving to London, it’s been nice to get involved in the blogging ‘community’ a little more. I don’t blog to be a ‘blogger’ – I blog so that I can write. However, I’m not going to deny that there are some perks that come along with the blogging thing. When you spend so much time and energy on a project, it’s nice to be around other people who understand and who share things with you. And yes, it’s nice to feel rewarded for your efforts!

What Festivals Taught Me About My Phone Addiction

Hi, my name is Claire Louise Sheridan, and I’m a phone-aholic (this is the part where I think you’re supposed to say “Hi Claire”). I’ve known this for ages, I’m not going to lie, but it’s gotten to the point where I physically will not leave my house without my charger. I charge my phone in restaurants, at work, in DJ booths in clubs, and on many a floor in shopping centres. Basically, the idea of being without a phone is like missing a limb, and festivals exacerbate the problem for the most part because there are often very few places to charge your phone. So what’s a girl to do?

Happy Birthday, Kitty Zeus!

Not many of you will know this, but I am actually a mummy. My baby isn’t quite conventional: he’s fluffy, ginger and he bites me a lot. I love him to pieces though, although he no longer lives with me. Don’t worry, I didn’t abandon a tiny human. To be fair… most people actually do know this because I never shut up about him; my baby is a cat named Zeus, and today is his first birthday.
