I can sense your indignation already, and I’m just waiting for the ‘Feminazi’ comments to start rolling in. However, I can assure you that I’m nothing of the sort – I mean for starters, I’ve never practiced mass genocide in the name of a cause I believe in.

Paramore And PVRIS Don’t Sound The Same. Just Stop.

Pa-ramore. Pa-ris (yes, that’s how you say PVRIS, although without the dash in the middle… keep up). Other than sharing identical prefixes, these two bands are nothing alike – unless you count the fact that their singers both identify as females. In 2015, it shouldn’t be a shock, or valid reason for us to make such brilliant observations as “oh cool, it’s a female fronted band!”. However, sadly, due to a lack of equality and women in the industry, it too often is.

Confession Time: I’m A Beauty Beginner

I feel like I’m in one of those confession boxes my Catholic friends used to have to visit when we were younger. As a blogger, I feel like you’re supposed to know everything about beauty, even when it’s not really your niche. “Oh yes!”, I’m supposed to nod “The MAC collection really is fantastic for people with that skin tone, but Benefit is far better for mine!”. Or something. (Am I even doing that right?). For all my sins, I’ll be honest: when it comes to most things beauty, I’ve always been a little… clueless. However, it’s not that I haven’t taken an interest, and so I’ve vowed that in 2015, it’s the year I’m finally going to educate myself.
