I told more than one friend I was going to Ski Dubai and in more than one case, their response was the same. “HOW is it possible that you’re going SKIING in the DESERT?”, and phrases to that extent. Ski Dubai is one of the world’s biggest and best fake snow experience centres, offering skiing, snowboarding, djdkdk and more, and it’s set right in the heart of one of Dubai’s greatest shopping malls of all places – Mall of the Emirates.
I’ve always loved food, but it’s only been in the last few years that I’ve *really* had something to say. Gaucho is an established name back in the UK and I’d heard so much about it. After one of my best friends visited for her birthday recently with me all the way over in the UAE, I decided to Google it… just to look. I was overjoyed to find that it had branched out to the Emirates and so I booked myself a table whilst on my trip to Dubai. Continue reading →
WarpedTour is a punk rock institution… and it always will be. There, I’ve said it. You can whine and bitch about how the masses of kids who infiltrate it are “posers” or into way too much pop, but guess what? They don’t care, and in the true spirit of punk, nor should you. As a teenager in the UK I could only dream of going to WarpedTour, and in 2012 I made it a reality when some friends of mine (Rise To Remain, now As Lions) were on the tour playing all summer and they invited me to join them. It was incredible and I became hooked! In total, I’ve been to six Warped USA dates, and a British one, too. This year’s was super fun as always, because who doesn’t love a California catch up?
I turned 25 a few weeks ago and to celebrate, my amazing boyfriend Dougie whisked me away. We started this tradition last year – he took me to the wonderful, unique Church Spa as a surprise, and I took him for a weekend of activities down in London. This year, he seriously upped his game and took me away to Italy, and I mean it when I say that I had NO IDEA where we were going until we got to the airport. Nice work, but even nicer when we actually got there and I was stunned. Wow, just wow!
So, this may be ridiculously late, but I guess in talking about Halloween now, it’s a true Nightmare Before Christmas (oh god….I’ll stop, ha). Dougie and I went for our first proper trip together, to Orlando, and although I’ve posted about the Disney Party and the Universal Party, I kinda skipped on the food and other experiences. So here’s a cute video and some pics to sum it up!
